Welcome to Robert Thurston’s blog. Many have asked how they can be a part of Robert’s journey. This will be an opportunity to support him in prayer while exploring collaborative solutions that address his ongoing needs.
Past experience with Robert has taught us that the process is always evolving, so feel free to share your ideas on how we can better assist this young man. Together we can make a difference and help to shape the dreams God has for Robert!

Joan Telle and I had a chance to see Robert yesterday. The nurses told us his new surgery date will be today, July 3rd. Matthew
Let us join Robert in saying Lord let Your will be done, praying for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery so that he’s able to move along to the next phase of his journey.
Prayer Needs
At the moment, Robert’s most pressing need relates to his upcoming surgery. We are still asking God to spare him his leg, but in the event they will need to amputate let’s ask for a successful procedure and a speedy recovery.
As is the case with having a limb removed, we will also need to pray for Robert’s rehabilitation as he adjusts to getting around with his other leg. Finally, let’s ask God to make a way for Robert to receive a prosthetic limb to increase his mobility.
Robert’s Practical Needs
This is a list of Robert monthly needs, and a very practical way to assist Robert. You could pick up these items during your shopping and then drop them off at the church, if you would like to contribute financially to Robert’s needs, you can do so by making your checks payable to the NPCC Benevolence Account with a reference for Robert Thurston, you may contact William Tucker on the Benevolence Team if you have any questions at william@npcconline.org or at the office at 327-1660.
